PSYB Winter League Registration

Winter 2024-2025 Recreational Basketball

2024-2025 Winter Recreational Youth Basketball (Boys, ages 5-18 & Girls, ages 5-14).

The Powder Springs Youth Basketball (PSYB) winter regular season usually lasts from November to February. We are a member of Cobb County (GA) PARKS, and we utilize the Cobb County Schools' calendar in scheduling our games. In the middle of each regular season (early to mid-December), each eligible age division usually has a minimum of one (1) team participate in the annual Cobb County Holiday Basketball Tournament* (divided by age group) that year.

At the conclusion of the regular season, All-Star tryouts are conducted and teams are typically selected (by PSYB coaches and/or Executive Board Members/ League Directors). A minimum of one (1) team per eligible age group is usually entered into the Cobb County All-Star** & GRPA District (we are in District 5, Class A) & State tournaments. Based on their play in the GRPA District tournament, teams may advance to the GRPA State tournament. GRPA play typically runs from mid-February through early March of each year.

*The Cobb County Holiday Basketball tournament (December) will possibly require payment of a separate fee (Typically $12-20 per player; paid by participating players, submitted to Cobb County by PSYB) for the teams participating in it.

**The Cobb County All-Star Basketball tournament (February) will possibly require payment of a separate fee (Typically $15-25 per player; paid by participating players, submitted to Cobb County by PSYB) for the teams participating in it.
